How to be successful at Coalfire: To be successful in this position, your No. 1 job, of course, is to ensure the safety and security of critical clients by uncovering potential security breaches or privacy issues before they become issues. As such, you'll provide strategic direction and thought leadership as you engage in day-to-day tactical execution. Your success will be measured by your clients' satisfaction levels and by the results of your efforts to train others, develop standardized tools and methodologies, and to contribute in a proactive, productive way with client teams across the organization.
How you will contribute: You will be part of a team that focuses on Cloud, Virtualization, and related emerging technologies, from the perspectives of information security, regulatory compliance, cyber-risk management, and operations management. You will work with the Tier 1 & 2 product vendors & OEMS to build Proof-of-Concepts, write whitepapers, etc. You will also work to support our regional delivery teams with tools, methodologies, templates, and top-tier SME support. It is not uncommon within this group to be invited to speak at conferences both domestically & internationally, have articles published in major technology & news distributions, or to be requested personally (by name) as advisors by Fortune 100 and greater-sized organizations.
Required Skills
Strong IT background/understanding with respect to networks, servers, workstations and applications
Virtualization experience with VMWare, and a solid understanding of Cloud Service Providers
Experience in IT security audit and compliance role
Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to contribute content to white papers, policy recommendations, etc.
Prefer candidates with experience in the following areas:
Risk assessment
Ability to comfortably interact with senior management in a consultative manner
Gap analysis
FISMA, HIPAA, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), GLBA, SOX
Education/Certifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field
Minimum of 1 year in Information Technology or Security
Minimum of 1 year in an IT Security Audit and or Compliance
Interest in pursuing an information security certification such as CISSP, CISA or CISM
Prefer CCP, VCP, or other virtualization/cloud certification, or strong desire to obtain related certifications

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
