Nursing Manager POSITION
Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Nursing Manager is to assist with planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department in the Health Care Center.
Budget, census, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern long-term care should be considered when making decisions.
Also ensures that the highest degree of quality care can always be provided to residents.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department Supports and practices the philosophy, objectives, and standards of the nursing department to ensure quality care to all residents Maintain current knowledge of applicable Medicare, managed care, and state Medicaid regulations, reimbursement systems and methodologies Participate in the quality improvement process and activities Assure development, maintenance, implementation and evaluation of the safety and infection control programs Participate in orientation and education programs for nursing staff Attend care conferences Conduct monthly staff meetings and provide weekly huddles with staff to inform, train, and/or support them REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS:
Current Registered Nurse license (RN) in the State of Colorado Our communities provide assisted living, assisted living memory care, and skilled nursing One-year experience as a supervisor in a health care facility Thorough knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care Highly developed nursing skills; thorough knowledge in understanding and interpreting nursing philosophies, programs, and policies Demonstrated commitment to high professional and ethical standards Strong problem solving and analytical skills Ability to thoroughly analyze and provide objective problem-solving solutions ABOUT BALFOUR SENIOR LIVING:
